每个人都从自己做起,从小事做起,点点滴滴的善心也能汇聚成慈悲的大海。

When everyone is committed to
acts of kindness,
even small acts of kindness will
accumulate into an ocean of compassion.


所谓寂静,就是对我们的起心动念能够了了分明、清清楚楚,也就是常讲的“明察秋毫”。知道自己现在在起什么心、动什么念,下一个念头会再起什么。这些都非常清楚,就是觉照的功夫非常强。对治烦恼的过程,就是我们整个修行的过程。

Tranquility is a state in which
we are fully aware of the rise
and fall of our thoughts.
We know what thoughts arise
at this moment and what will come up next.
All these are clear in our minds.
In other words, our observation is sharp.
The process of dealing with distress
is the process of practice.


我们需要的是佛法,佛法能够让我们的内心更加健康、更加清净。所以,我们要追求快乐,而不能去追逐欲望。

We need the Dharma to make our heart healthier and purer.
To achieve this better state of being,
we should pursue happiness
rather than sensory pleasures.
